It’s interesting to think about the information that influence our entrepreneurial framework. Normally most knowledge about entrepreneurship is built by reading books. However, upon some reflection, certain movies can make a significant impact, shaping ones own business mind.

I believe, that the following movies are a pure source of inspiration and  knowledge, and I highly recommend every entrepreneur to watch them.

The Social Network

The Social Network was a blockbuster when it premiered in 2010. Indeed, everyone wanted to know Mark Zuckerberg’s story and how he quit being an Harvard student to launch the most popular social-media network in the world.

The film provides the viewers a better understanding of how to grow a successful a startup.

Moneyball

The movie is about Billy Beane (portrayed by Brad Pitt) , the general manager of Oakland A’s baseball team. His team did not have the required money to spend on new player. Beane had to discover a new way to compete against the big teams, who had enough money to buy the best players.

As an entrepreneur you can learn a lot from his innovative way of thinking. In addition Beane stays loyal to his vision, doesn’t listen to the naysayers and never backs down from his vision. Briefly he displays great entrepreneurial traits.

The Pursuit Of Happyness

This movie is based on the true story of Chris Gardner (portrayed by Will Smith). In my opinion, it is one of the most motivational films for entrepreneurs. Chris and his son (portrayed by Jaden Smith)  struggle to follow a dream.

Even though he became homeless and had difficulties to provide good life standards for his son, he continued to pursue his dream. Passion and sacrifice is something every entrepreneur should be able to accept and embrace.

Rocky

This is the story of the underdog Rocky Balboa (portrayed by Sylvester Stallone) who is given the opportunity to fight the heavyweight champion. This chance offers him a better life for himself if he is able to win the prize.

Every entrepreneur can learn from Rocky’s competitive spirit.
