In terms of the potential, Africa is today still underestimated. Africa is in the entrepreneurial sense still unexplored and offers fresh and new territory for determined entrepreneurs. The second issue of this chapter is meant to continue the first one.

Hookah Lounge

Hookah lounges are taking over the gastronomy. Shisha, flavoured tobacco, is a multiple century old Arabic and islamic tradition, which is slowly becoming a trend. Young professionals, trainees and students enjoy spending their free evenings in locations that offer them hookah for a good price. As an entreprenur, supplying their needs might be the right move. Hookah lounges built next to universities and clubs could raise huge revenues

Taxi app

Most people have visited foreign countries just to enjoy a good vacation. Recently, a few friends and I rented an appartement in Nice, France. As young fellas, we were really excited to go out. Because we were living in an appartement and not a hotel, how were we supposed to get a taxi? The internet helped us but it was really an effort. Now imagine googling a taxi and speaking to a taxi driver if you don’t speak the countries national language and the driver doesn’t understand English. Good luck on that one!

A Taxi-App with a GPS function would be a great idea when it comes to solving problems like this. The GPS would track my current location and show me the available taxi drivers right around me with their actual number. Or even better, I could hire a driver for the night and tell him when to pick me up again just by using features in the app. Maybe the app could even translate my request into the countries language. Wouldn’t that be great?

Recycling

The amount of electronic junk I saw in normal public bins in Africa is incredible. My fellow countryman would just throw a 15 inch long DVD-player away as if it was a pizza box . I can’t say how much Junk is being deposed like this, but I think it’s a big number. You’re probably thinking that recycling can’t make you rich. Well, I don’t want to argue about that. Entrepreneurship is not only about money and financial benefits. Creating an organisation which collects environmentally unfriendly objects and brings them to recycling centers would be a great step every country.
